RECOVERY accommodation

WITH THE SILKWORTH PROJECT

We offer transitional, abstinent, and move-on housing with 24/7 support for individuals facing addiction, criminal justice, or homelessness, providing multiple pathways for recovery.

24/7 support, offering second chances for individuals facing addiction, homelessness, or criminal justice challenges.

Recovery Housing

We offer medium-level support for individuals who have completed treatment and are ready to continue their recovery journey. We understand that overcoming addiction is just the beginning, which is why we provide a safe, high-quality shared housing environment as the next step towards independence. Our support includes:

  • 24/7 on-call assistance and support

  • Structured group sessions

  • 1:1 support sessions

  • House meetings

  • Drug testing to support abstinence

  • Ongoing partnership working

We actively seek feedback from service users to improve our services and meet emerging needs in the addiction recovery space. Our approach is person-centred, allowing individuals to progress at their own pace toward their personal goals. We are committed to empowering our residents to achieve independence and lead healthier, safer lives.

Transitional Housing

We provide transitional supported housing for individuals with diverse needs who are not yet ready to address addiction or substance abuse. We create a safer environment for those who have faced challenges like the criminal justice system or homelessness, often caught in a cycle of institutional care. Our services include:

  • 24/7 on-call assistance and support

  • Weekly group sessions at Sparks Community Space in Portsmouth

  • 1:1 sessions

  • Weekly house meetings

  • Partnership working and signposting to other services

At The Silkworth Project, we recognise that addiction is a recurring mental health condition, and we believe in giving individuals second, third, and even more chances to rebuild their lives.

Move-On Accommodation

We also offer move-on accommodation for individuals who have spent two years in our recovery housing. These self-contained flats in Portsmouth provide a pathway to greater independence as residents transition to a stable, independent life.
